Bush Craft Forest School
Belvoir Castle is proud to announce a new partnership with The PLACE Independent School!
The partnership between Belvoir Castle and The PLACE Independent School is a collaboration committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for young people who may struggle in mainstream settings.
Belvoir Castle is hugely excited and extremely proud to announce its latest partnership, with The PLACE Independent School. The school was set up to meet the needs of young people who find it difficult to achieve in mainstream environments where their emotional and developmental needs cannot be met.
By providing a rural setting, with all of the physical and mental benefits which come with having greater access to fresh air, nature and more space, Belvoir Castle offers an alternative educational experience, better designed to cater to the emotional and developmental needs of the young people at The PLACE. Being in a natural and tranquil environment can have significant benefits for students’ wellbeing and overall growth. The PLACE Independent School’s focus on addressing the specific challenges faced by students who find it difficult to achieve in mainstream environments is inspiring. The school is dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive atmosphere where these young individuals can thrive and reach their full potential, and everyone at Belvoir Castle is immensely proud to come on board.
Partnerships like this can make a significant difference in the lives of these students, providing them with the necessary tools, resources, and understanding to overcome obstacles and achieve their academic and personal goals.
The PLACE will be launching an exciting and unique ‘Bush Craft Forest School’ course at the Engine Yard, focusing on a ‘back-to-nature’ approach, to provide students with the tools they need to survive in the wilderness! Families will have the opportunity to build fires and dens, join a woodland safari and make tools from nature. This experience will be available once a month at the Engine Yard for the public to book and enjoy free of charge. Launching on the 3rd of September, we will be releasing more details soon, so watch this space!
The PLACE will also be at the Engine Yard once a month, helping and offering advice to all parents, carers and families who may need support on a wide range of issues. The will include advice on children’s eating, sleeping, behaviour, routines, schooling, ADHD, Autism and more. Belvoir will be offering this as a support pillar to our community with the help of The PLACE’s fantastic therapeutic team and staff. For more information visit The PLACE in the Wellness Wagon at the Engine Yard on the 3rd of September.
